Senior Principal Hook Up Engineer

About the role

The Senior Principal Hook Up Engineer leads complex hook‑up and commissioning activities for large‑scale projects, ensuring delivery on schedule and within budget while aligning with industry standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute hook‑up strategies, coordinate with clients, contractors and internal teams, and manage project budgets.
• Conduct inspections, audits, constructability reviews, and HAZID/SIMOPS workshops to identify and mitigate risks.
• Lead shutdown and turnaround planning, manage change (MOC) processes, and supervise offshore activities.
• Maintain HDMS database, support planner inputs, and ensure readiness for offshore mobilization.
• Drive client relationship management, project updates, and post‑project lessons learned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of EPCI experience with a focus on hook‑up and commissioning, preferably offshore.
• Proven track record delivering complex projects and strong leadership in multidisciplinary environments.

Required skills

• Knowledge of industry standards, codes and regulations for hook‑up and commissioning.
• Experience with HDMS database and Management of Change (MOC) processes.
• Proficiency in conducting HAZID and SIMOPS workshops.
• Ability to use industry‑specific planning and documentation tools.
