Senior Procurement Engineer

About the role

The Senior Procurement Engineer will lead both pre‑award and post‑award procurement activities for large‑scale EPC projects in the oil & gas sector. You will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
• Conduct supplier sourcing, market analysis, and supplier evaluations.
• Lead commercial and contractual negotiations to secure optimal value.
• Manage the end‑to‑end procurement process from requisition to purchase order award.
• Monitor supplier performance, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and mentor junior procurement staff.
• Oversee expediting activities from PO issuance through final site delivery.
• Track procurement and delivery schedules to ensure on‑time project execution.
• Coordinate supplier kick‑off meetings and monitor deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Construction, Logistics, and Project teams.
• Resolve vendor delays, logistics challenges, and material shortages while ensuring contractual compliance.
• Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.

Required profile

• 8+ years overall experience, with at least 5 years in EPC oil & gas procurement and expediting.
• Proven experience in both pre‑award and post‑award procurement activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• CIPS or equivalent supply‑chain qualification is highly regarded.
• Experience in GCC markets is an advantage.
