Senior Project Manager (Buildings)

About the role

Stantec is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to act as an owner representative on multiple building and facility projects across the UAE, primarily for government and defence clients. The role involves overseeing construction administration, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule compliance, and serving as the main liaison between client personnel and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Implement program and project management goals defined by the client.
• Manage contract administration, engineering inspections, and quality assurance activities.
• Monitor progress, budget, and schedule, providing regular reports to client stakeholders.
• Coordinate planning, design, cost engineering, construction, and real‑estate functions.
• Assist client personnel with risk assessment, contingency planning, and performance measurement.
• Provide training, mentoring, and translation services for client staff as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction administration and management, preferably as an owner representative.
• Strong background in managing government or defence building projects in the UAE.
• Fluent English; additional language skills are a plus.
• Experience with healthcare facilities (hospitals, clinics, laboratories) is advantageous.
