Senior Reservoir Engineer

About the role

This is a three‑year renewable contract position responsible for leading Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) initiatives, driving technical studies, and mentoring junior engineers to increase field production.

Key responsibilities

• Design and propose data acquisition programs to support EOR maturation.
• Lead EOR projects from concept through execution, including pilot and large‑scale deployments.
• Develop, build, and maintain reservoir simulation models using Eclipse and IX.
• Mentor junior team members on EOR modelling techniques and strategies.
• Coordinate external studies and third‑party contractors to de‑risk EOR opportunities.
• Produce high‑quality presentations and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in geosciences or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of reservoir engineering experience in oil and gas, with at least 3 years dedicated to EOR.
• Proven ability to work independently and make technical decisions without supervision.
• Strong communication and networking skills to engage across the organization.

Required skills

• Advanced reservoir simulation using Eclipse and IX.
• Expertise in EOR techniques such as polymer, surfactant, and WAG.
• Experience with low‑API/permeability EOR applications.
• Data acquisition and analysis for fluids, SCAL, well testing, logs, and cores.
