Spa Shift Leader

About the role

The Autograph Collection hotel in Al Shahaniya, Doha, Qatar is looking for a full-time Spa Shift Leader. The role covers delivering massage and body treatments to guests, keeping the spa running smoothly during a shift and promoting spa and salon services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide massage services and body treatments (scrubs, wraps, hydrotherapy) using props and products
• Assess guest needs and ask about contraindications such as allergies, high blood pressure and pregnancy
• Keep up to date with current techniques and modalities in the field
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms and arrange workstations, rooms and drapes
• Check frequently with guests to promote comfort, safety and security
• Promote and sell spa and salon services, including retail offerings
• Clean, maintain and sterilize tools, keep the workspace tidy and dispose of trash and dirty linens
• Follow the time schedule and handle inappropriate guest behaviour according to Marriott's standard operating procedures
• Maintain current skills and licensure, report accidents and injuries, and follow company policies

Required profile

• State or regional massage license or certification
• Technical, trade or vocational school degree preferred
• At least 1 year of related work experience preferred
• No supervisory experience required

Required skills

• Ability to stand, sit or walk for long periods and lift objects up to 10 pounds
• Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
