Specialist Neurology

About the role

Military Medical City Hospital (MMCH) is looking for a qualified and experienced Specialist Neurologist to join its growing medical team in Qatar. The role covers the assessment, diagnosis and management of adult neurological conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Key responsibilities

• Manage patients with stroke, epilepsy, headache disorders, movement disorders, neuromuscular diseases, multiple sclerosis and other neurological disorders.
• Take part in multidisciplinary patient management and give neurological consultations to other specialties.
• Join the departmental on-call rota as required.
• Keep accurate clinical documentation and follow hospital policies, clinical guidelines and quality standards.
• Contribute to clinical governance, patient safety, education and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Medical degree from a recognised institution.
• Recognised postgraduate specialty qualification or board certification in Neurology.
• At least 3 years of relevant post-specialty experience, preferably in a governmental, semi-governmental, academic or teaching hospital.
• Eligible for Specialist licensing with Qatar's Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP).
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
