SVP - Institutional Sales

About the role

The Senior Vice President of Institutional Sales will lead a team responsible for distributing regional equity and fixed‑income products to a broad spectrum of institutional, corporate, high‑net‑worth and retail clients. Reporting to senior management, the executive will shape market‑share growth, drive revenue, and oversee all client‑service channels across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive sales and customer‑service strategies aligned with market trends, regulatory requirements and corporate goals.
• Expand the active business pipeline, deliver accurate forecasts and achieve ambitious revenue targets while managing departmental budgets.
• Set, monitor and report on KPIs for sales and service teams to ensure high‑quality delivery and operational efficiency.
• Build and maintain C‑suite relationships (CEOs, CFOs, CIOs) with institutional clients, travelling regionally and internationally as needed.
• Gather market intelligence, analyse competitor offerings and create detailed client profiles to support data‑driven sales approaches.
• Collaborate with research and trading divisions to design marketing narratives, coordinate corporate roadshows and produce high‑impact collateral.
• Oversee contact centres and support desks, ensuring consistent client satisfaction and adherence to departmental procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in institutional sales, preferably within equities and fixed‑income markets.
• Proven track record of driving revenue growth and expanding market share.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing large, cross‑functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships with senior decision‑makers in the financial sector.
• Willingness to travel regionally and internationally to strengthen client partnerships.
• Excellent analytical, strategic planning and communication abilities.
