Teller Officer – International Wealth & Personal Banking

About the role

HSBC is looking for a Teller Officer to support International Wealth and Personal Banking in a branch environment. The role focuses on cash handling, processing customer transactions and maintaining operational standards while minimising risk.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash deposits and withdrawals in local and foreign currencies, verifying signatures and note authenticity.
• Handle outward clearing cheques, card and PIN/cheque‑book issuance, and ATM duties as allocated.
• Prepare and deliver cash bundles to the chief cashier to keep cash holdings within set limits.
• Register and deliver credit, debit, and retained cards, as well as PINs and cheque books, ensuring accurate balancing and reversals.
• Ensure compliance with Central Bank requirements, internal cash‑handling procedures and service level agreements.

Required profile

• Experience delivering excellent customer service in a branch setting (advantageous).
• Strong communication skills with a professional presentation style.
• Proficiency in using PC systems for daily processing tasks.

Required skills

• Cash handling procedures and voucher processing.
• Knowledge of Central Bank and internal compliance standards.
