Van Salesman (Medium Truck License Required)

About the role

This Van Salesman position covers customer interaction for sales, distribution, merchandising, stock rotation and cash collection, while building strong relationships with customers. The role also involves supervising truck helpers and delivery assistants, and working toward individual sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Interact with customers for sales, distribution, merchandising, stock rotation and cash collection, and build good customer relationships.
• Provide direct supervision to truck helpers and delivery assistants, and buddy new recruits when required.
• Improve share of shelf and excel in the marketing execution of activities.
• Achieve individual sales targets (cash and credit), merchandising, market servicing and delivery.
• Follow the journey plan so that assigned customers are serviced.
• Update the trade asset database and deliver accurate competition activity reports.
• Report on new store openings and provide leave coverage when needed.
• Execute new product introductions, promotions and projects within the assigned territory.
• Allocate time properly for each customer, give feedback on distribution and customer issues to management, and work toward department short-term and strategic goals.

Required profile

• Minimum a diploma in sales, business or a related field.
• 4 to 5 years of sales experience in a similar capacity within the FMCG, beverages or snacks industry is a must.
• Medium Qatari driving licence is a must.
• Bilingualism is a plus.
