Waiter

About the role

We are looking for a Waiter to join the In‑Room Dining team at Mandarin Oriental, Doha. The role involves delivering a personalised dining experience to guests in their rooms, ensuring high standards of service, presentation and compliance with hotel policies.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and verbally explain the food and beverage offerings to guests.
• Prepare and maintain mise en place for each shift, including back‑of‑house cleaning and equipment polishing.
• Set up service trolleys and deliver In‑Room Dining orders to guest rooms and service apartments.
• Present dishes attractively, explain each order and ensure timely, complete service.
• Handle billing and cashiering tasks in line with hotel standards.
• Distribute guest amenities and maintain outlet equipment and utensils in good condition.
• Assist with stock handling, including linen, beverages and dry goods.
• Keep product knowledge up to date and perform any additional duties assigned by the IRD Manager.
• Comply with all corporate and hotel policies, including data protection, network use and anti‑harassment standards.

Required profile

• Good knowledge of the hotel’s food and beverage menu and the ability to explain it clearly.
• Attention to detail in service presentation and equipment handling.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and hotel policies.
• Strong communication with colleagues and supervisors.
• Willingness to support learning and development activities.
