Assistant Vice President IT Governance and Performance (Qatarization)

About the role

QNB Group, the largest bank in the Middle East and Africa, is hiring an Assistant Vice President for IT Governance and Performance in Doha, Qatar. The role covers the IT performance management framework, including performance reporting, SLA monitoring, capacity and availability management, and disaster recovery planning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop performance measurement plans aligned with business planning cycles, KPI reporting systems and performance improvement frameworks
• Analyze and present performance data to management, support SLA definition and monitoring, and build capacity models for infrastructure planning
• Develop availability and capacity plans, track utilization trends and forecast capacity needs
• Support annual IT budget planning and promote cost efficiency across IT operations
• Produce performance, utilization, trend and forecasting reports for senior management, Board committees and business units
• Manage Capacity Management processes, define capacity metrics and data collection methods, and act as focal point between IT teams, suppliers and business units
• Support disaster recovery planning, maintain DR documentation and emergency response procedures, and provide support to auditors, compliance and risk teams
• Maintain Capacity and Availability Management policies, procedures and databases, and participate in IT and CAB meetings
• Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives, coach team members and pursue professional development

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computing Performance Analysis or a related discipline (Master's preferred)
• Minimum 10 years of IT experience, including at least 8 years in IT governance, performance measurement and performance management
• ITIL Expert certification is mandatory; consulting experience in governance and performance management is an advantage
