Associate Project Manager

About the role

The Associate Project Manager will lead the execution of grid automation orders in Qatar, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role focuses on customer satisfaction from order entry through commissioning, supporting repeatable business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead successful execution of Grid Automation orders booked in Qatar.
• Monitor and achieve KPIs such as revenue, cash flow, inventory, on‑time delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure all activities comply with Hitachi Energy policies, contractual agreements, quality, health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Build strong customer relationships and manage satisfaction through timely project delivery.
• Conduct project reviews with factory management to ensure contract fulfilment.
• Identify risks, negotiate and resolve escalated issues, especially those raised by customers.
• Plan, monitor and control project scope, schedule and cost, coordinating with the Head of Project Management.
• Ensure projects follow internal methodology, are closed according to contracts, and capture lessons learned.
• Coordinate additional customer requests that may generate extra sales.
• Maintain compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical background.
• Minimum three years of project management experience, preferably in Hitachi Energy products (IEDs & SCADAs) within Qatar.
• PMP certification is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience with SAP or another ERP platform is beneficial.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
