Commercial & Contracts Manager – Mission Critical Infrastructure

About the role

The Commercial & Contracts Manager will oversee the commercial management, contract administration and financial control of hyperscale data centre projects from award through delivery and close‑out, ensuring cost efficiency, contractual compliance and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall commercial performance, project budgets and financial controls.
• Monitor project costs, profitability and budget utilisation, and prepare cash‑flow forecasts.
• Review, interpret and administer main contracts and subcontract agreements, ensuring compliance with terms and specifications.
• Oversee procurement and subcontracting activities, evaluate tenders and negotiate commercial terms.
• Handle variations, change orders and claims, preparing and negotiating documentation and approvals.
• Track expenditures, produce weekly and monthly commercial reports and conduct variance analysis.
• Prepare and submit interim payment applications, certify subcontractor claims and resolve payment issues.
• Identify commercial risks, maintain risk registers and develop mitigation strategies.
• Manage contractual disputes, supporting negotiation, mediation or arbitration processes.
• Coordinate with project, technical, procurement and planning teams to align commercial activities with project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, Qatar regulatory requirements and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Lead final account negotiations and project close‑out activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing commercial performance and budgets for large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, procurement processes and subcontract management.
• Ability to lead negotiations with clients, consultants and suppliers.
• Experience in financial forecasting, cash‑flow management and cost control.
• Familiarity with risk identification and mitigation in contractual contexts.
