Deck Mechanic - Marine Equipment Maintenance

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is hiring a full-time Deck Mechanic in Doha within the oil and gas sector. The role covers the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of deck machinery and mechanical equipment on marine projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain winches, capstans, pumps, hydraulic systems, deck cranes and related marine equipment.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance according to schedules and manuals.
• Identify mechanical faults, replace defective parts and support equipment testing.
• Maintain tools, spare parts and maintenance records.
• Follow PTW, LOTO, housekeeping and marine HSE procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 3-5 years of Deck Mechanic experience in marine projects.
• Experience on vessels, barges, shipyards, ports or marine facilities.
• Trade certificate or diploma in Mechanical or a relevant discipline preferred.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, rotating and deck machinery systems.
• Able to troubleshoot mechanical faults and carry out repair and overhaul work.
• Familiar with preventive maintenance and equipment inspection practices.
