Fashion Buying & Merchandising Specialist

About the role

Arkan Marketing Services is looking for a full‑time Fashion Buying & Merchandising Specialist to join its e‑commerce team in Doha. You will combine trend research, product selection and buying analysis to drive commercial success for luxury fashion brands.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor fashion trends on TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, competitor platforms and other digital channels.
• Identify promising products, brands and new commercial opportunities.
• Analyse customer demand, competitor activity, sales performance and inventory movement.
• Prepare structured product recommendations backed by market and trend evidence.
• After internal approval, liaise with suppliers and factories to confirm pricing, availability, MOQ, lead times, quality and sample options.
• Compare suppliers and products on cost, quality, reliability, availability and market potential.
• Audit existing product prices and flag inconsistencies across similar items and variants.
• Recommend pricing for new and existing products based on landed cost, margins, competitor pricing and market positioning.
• Suggest initial purchase quantities and restocking requirements.
• Monitor product performance and advise on price adjustments, replenishment or discontinuation.
• Maintain an organised product‑opportunity pipeline and deliver regular commercial insights.
• Coordinate closely with Supply Chain, Inventory, Finance and Marketing teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fashion or e‑commerce buying, merchandising or category management.
• Strong understanding of fashion, luxury products, consumer demand and digital trends.
• Commercial and analytical mindset with solid knowledge of pricing, margins and inventory dynamics.
• Excellent supplier and factory communication skills.
• High attention to detail, especially when reviewing products, variants and prices.
• Proactive, organised and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
