Head of Operations

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is looking for a Head of Operations in Doha, in the airline and aviation sector. The role owns the preventive and corrective maintenance performance of all systems within the Operations Centre discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Lead subject-matter experts and ensure adequate certified technical coverage.
• Manage technical competency assessments and sign-offs within the team.
• Review and approve method statements, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and preventive-maintenance schedules.
• Provide technical input to the Change Advisory Board for proposed changes affecting Operations Centre systems.
• Ensure operational availability, SLA performance, maintenance completion and a reduction in repeat incidents.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, IT or a relevant technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience with relevant systems in a large enterprise or airport environment.
• Certifications relevant to desktop support, AV/video-wall systems and server/application systems.
• Strong OEM/vendor relationship and escalation-management skills.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, problem-solving and technical decision-making capability.
