IT Specialist – Operational Digital Twin

About the role

Parsons is looking for an IT Specialist to support the end‑to‑end delivery of a large‑scale Geospatial Operational Digital Twin programme for a national infrastructure owner in the Middle East. The role will work closely with the Solution Architect, Cybersecurity SME, Integration Lead and a multinational team of developers and engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Solution Architect and Product Manager in defining compute, GPU, storage, networking and backup/recovery requirements across discovery, PoC, implementation and post‑implementation phases.
• Size, specify and document on‑premises and/or cloud environments needed to host GIS, AI/ML, integration, data and application components.
• Design and support implementation of federated identity and access architectures, including identity providers, single sign‑on and role‑based access controls.
• Coordinate infrastructure activities with internal IT, cloud and security teams, covering provisioning, connectivity, monitoring and incident response.
• Prepare and maintain IT architecture and configuration documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and supporting IT infrastructure for complex software integrations.
• Strong understanding of on‑premises and cloud environments, performance, scalability and resilience considerations.
• Experience with identity and access management, especially federated identity solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with solution architects, cybersecurity specialists and cross‑functional engineering teams.
