Licensed Aircraft Engineer – Heavy Maintenance B1

About the role

Qatar Airways is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (Level 1) to lead heavy‑maintenance activities on its main fleet. The role ensures aircraft are maintained safely, efficiently, and in line with company and regulatory standards to support flight operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute assigned maintenance tasks using Qatar Airways procedures and tooling.
• Review work procedures, propose improvements, and ensure final release of work by mechanics.
• Guarantee that maintenance meets dispatch reliability, defect‑deferred targets, and customer delivery standards.
• Provide technical solutions to problems within authority and maintain aircraft serviceability schedules.
• Guide, train, and supervise technicians and mechanics, ensuring quality workmanship and correct tool usage.

Required profile

• High School/Vocational Diploma with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years.
• Diploma or degree in Aircraft Maintenance or Aircraft Engineering.
• Hold a full Qatar Airways main‑fleet ICAO/QCAA licence and approvals.
• Possess a heavy‑vehicle driving licence to support maintenance tasks.
