Manager – Non-Motor Insurance Claims

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced professional to lead its Non‑Motor Insurance Claims team. This senior position will oversee the end‑to‑end claims process across multiple lines of business, ensuring timely and accurate handling while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to claim requirements, providing accurate status updates to stakeholders.
• Identify service improvement opportunities and recommend process enhancements to strengthen the bottom line.
• Monitor claim processing using standard tracking methods to ensure timeliness, productivity, and quality.
• Maintain adequate reserves for classes such as Fire, Engineering, Energy, Marine Cargo, Marine Hull, Miscellaneous, Motor Trade, Liability, Workmen Compensation, and TPL.
• Collaborate with other departments, offices, and branches to meet business requirements.
• Oversee large loss claims, conduct periodic reviews, and manage claim ageing.
• Mentor, supervise, and guide team members, fostering professional development.
• Interact regularly with loss adjusters, brokers, clients, reinsurers, and other relevant entities.
• Report to the Head of Non‑Motor Claims and act as the primary contact for policy adherence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably engineering.
• Diploma or Master’s degree in Risk & Insurance Management is a plus.
• Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII) from the Chartered Insurance Institute preferred.
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Minimum 12 years of experience in insurance claims, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong experience in non‑motor insurance lines such as Energy, Marine Cargo, Marine Hull, Fire, Engineering, Miscellaneous, Motor Trade, Liability, Workmen Compensation, and TPL.
