About the role
Madre Integrated Engineering is looking for a welder to carry out welding, cutting, fitting and repair work on marine structures and equipment. The position is full time and covers decks, supports, frames, pipes and other structural components.
Key responsibilities
- Perform welding, cutting, fitting and repair on marine structures and equipment
- Follow approved WPS, drawings and welding procedures
- Inspect welding machines, cables, electrodes and tools before use
- Maintain weld quality and report defects or repair needs
- Follow PTW, hot work, fire watch and HSE procedures
Required profile
- Minimum 3-5 years of welding experience in marine projects
- Experience on vessels, barges, shipyards, ports or marine facilities
- Able to read basic fabrication drawings and welding symbols
- Valid welder qualification or trade certificate preferred
Required skills
- SMAW, GTAW, FCAW and MIG welding as applicable
- Good knowledge of hot work safety and marine working conditions
