Mechanical Work Preparator – CSCC Offshore Projects

About the role

The CSCC Mechanical Work Preparator is responsible for preparing, coordinating and ensuring readiness of mechanical maintenance and replacement activities on offshore facilities. The role focuses on valve replacement, piping modifications, pressure‑containing equipment, and mechanical integrity restoration to support safe offshore execution.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mechanical work packs, including valve replacement, piping spool replacement, pressure vessel activities and brownfield modifications.
• Review engineering drawings, P&IDs, isometrics and vendor documentation to confirm technical readiness.
• Coordinate mechanical isolation, spading plans, shutdown requirements and permit‑to‑work documentation.
• Verify availability of valves, gaskets, fittings, special tools and lifting equipment before offshore mobilisation.
• Lead preparation for shutdown and campaign‑driven mechanical maintenance scopes and support offshore contractors during execution.
• Monitor execution progress, resolve technical issues related to dismantling, installation, alignment, bolt tensioning and commissioning.

Required profile

• Diploma, HNC/HND or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of offshore oil & gas mechanical maintenance and execution experience.
• Proven experience in valve replacement campaigns, static equipment maintenance, piping modifications and shutdown/turnaround activities.
• Familiarity with API, ASME, ISO and offshore industry standards.
