Reservations Agent - Arabic Speaking

About the role

The Iconic Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha is looking for an Arabic-speaking Reservations Agent to join its team. The role covers answering guest calls, handling reservations and room bookings, and supporting the hotel's front office operations.

Key responsibilities

• Listen actively to guest questions, concerns and requests and resolve them using the brand's processes
• Anticipate guest needs and act on their preferences
• Answer phones with proper etiquette, transfer calls, take messages and explain guarantee and cancellation policies
• Know the hotel's services and facilities and the reservation systems thoroughly
• Answer queries on room rates, outlets and locations, and choose the best room type for each guest
• Process rooming lists and group blocks, post advance deposits and record them accurately
• Document special requests and keep track of room availability throughout the day
• Use sales techniques such as up-selling, suggesting alternative dates and directing guests to sister properties
• Identify repeat guests with appropriate codes and assign confirmation and cancellation numbers
• Follow up on group enquiries, stay aware of rate changes and help with large events or functions
• Complete the daily shift task list, support colleagues and assist in task force teams for new openings

Required profile

• At least one year of experience in the same position in a 5-star hotel
• High school degree
• Fluent communication in Arabic
• Professionalism, integrity, honesty and confidentiality; proactive judgment in challenging situations
