About the role
Madre Integrated Engineering is hiring a Substation Attendant in Doha, in the oil and gas sector. The role covers monitoring and controlling high-voltage equipment in electricity transmission networks, routine inspections of substation equipment and basic first-line maintenance.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and control high-voltage equipment within electricity transmission networks to ensure a stable and continuous power supply.
- Carry out routine patrols of substation yards, checking transformers, circuit breakers and isolators, and record technical parameters in daily logs.
- Issue and cancel Permits to Work (PTW) and ensure grounding and safety protocols are followed before maintenance crews start work.
- Perform basic upkeep of DC battery systems and cooling fans, spotting potential equipment failures before they cause outages.
Required profile
- A Qatar driving licence is mandatory.
- Experience in electricity transmission networks is required.
