Assistant Leasing Manager

About the role
The Assistant Leasing Manager supports the leasing function and tenant relations across a property portfolio, driving occupancy, revenue and tenant satisfaction. This role acts as the primary liaison between management, tenants and key stakeholders, ensuring smooth leasing operations and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement leasing strategies to meet occupancy and revenue targets.
- Identify, evaluate and secure potential tenants through prospecting, networking and market analysis.
- Lead lease negotiations, renewals and restructurings to optimise rental yield while retaining tenants.
- Oversee preparation and execution of lease agreements in line with company policies and local laws.
- Monitor lease expirations and manage timely renewals or replacements to minimise vacancies.
- Serve as the main point of contact for tenants, resolving inquiries, complaints and issues promptly.
- Build and maintain long‑term positive relationships with tenants, fostering trust and loyalty.
- Coordinate with facilities, maintenance and operations teams to address service requests.
- Organise tenant engagement programmes and events to strengthen community.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay updated on rental trends.
- Recommend pricing strategies and rental adjustments based on market conditions.
- Prepare regular leasing reports, performance metrics and forecasts for senior management.
- Contribute to annual budget planning with insights on leasing income and retention strategies.
- Supervise and mentor leasing executives/associates, providing training and performance guidance.
- Collaborate with marketing to design and execute property promotion campaigns.
- Work closely with legal, finance, marketing and operations teams to ensure smooth leasing processes.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in leasing, property management or real estate, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of leasing regulations, legal requirements and best practices.
- Proven negotiation, problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and financial acumen.
