Assistant/Associate Professor – Occupational Health & Safety

About the role

The College of Health Sciences invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor position in Occupational Health, Safety and Environment. Reporting to the Department Head, the faculty member will develop, deliver and evaluate a broad range of courses and contribute to the university’s applied learning mission.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and assess undergraduate and graduate courses in Occupational Health, Safety and Environment.
• Evaluate student progress, manage learning resources and maintain accreditation documentation.
• Liaise with industry partners, serve on advisory committees and coordinate applied projects.
• Engage in curriculum development, instructional improvement plans and scholarly activities.

Required profile

• PhD in Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (or related field with a master’s/bachelor’s degree).
• Professional licensure and registration with a recognized OHS body (e.g., IOSH, CRSP, CSP, NEBOSH).
• Minimum five years of relevant professional experience and demonstrated teaching ability.
• Proven use of diverse teaching approaches, educational technology and digital learning platforms.
