Cards Portfolio Growth & Optimization Manager

About the role

A leading financial institution in Doha, Qatar is looking for an experienced Cards Portfolio Growth & Optimization Manager. The role suits someone with strong hands-on experience in credit and debit card portfolio management, driving portfolio growth, customer engagement, card usage and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and drive credit and debit card portfolio growth and optimization.
• Develop strategies to increase card activation, usage, spending and customer retention.
• Identify growth opportunities through portfolio analysis, customer segmentation and lifecycle management.
• Design and execute targeted marketing campaigns, loyalty programmes and spend-stimulation initiatives.
• Improve cross-border, e-commerce and digital wallet spending.
• Monitor portfolio KPIs, campaign performance and ROI.
• Work closely with product, marketing, risk and operations teams.
• Present portfolio performance, insights and recommendations to senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in credit and/or debit card portfolio management within banking, card schemes or financial services advisory.
• Proven hands-on experience in cards portfolio growth, customer acquisition, activation and retention.
• Strong knowledge of card products, customer lifecycle management and campaign execution.
• Experience in portfolio analytics, customer segmentation and performance reporting.
• Familiarity with loyalty programmes, digital payments and card schemes.
• GCC banking experience is highly preferred.
• Willingness to work on-site in Doha, Qatar.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau or similar analytics tools.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
