Chef de Cuisine (Italian Specialty)

About the role

We are seeking a talented Chef de Cuisine with a passion for Italian cuisine to lead the kitchen at Banana Island Resort Doha By Anantara. The successful candidate will oversee all culinary operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, creativity, and guest satisfaction in a luxury resort environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all kitchen operations in the assigned outlet or restaurant.
• Plan, prepare, and execute high‑standard Italian dishes and menus that align with the brand and guest expectations.
• Maintain hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards in compliance with HACCP and local regulations.
• Control food costs, minimize waste, and manage inventory effectively.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create seasonal menus and promotions.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen team members to sustain high performance and morale.
• Ensure equipment maintenance needs are reported and addressed promptly.
• Uphold resort policies and procedures among all culinary staff.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and adjust operations to enhance the guest experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine in a luxury hotel or fine‑dining environment.
• Formal culinary education or equivalent apprenticeship.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational abilities.
• Deep knowledge of food safety, kitchen operations, and cost control.
• Passion for food innovation and meticulous attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
