About the role
We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Chief Accountant to lead our accounting, financial, and payroll functions in Doha, Qatar.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and annual financial reports and manage month‑end and year‑end closing.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management, and project cost monitoring.
- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Handle payroll processing, WPS salary transfers, and ensure compliance with Qatar tax regulations.
- Coordinate external audits and tax requirements while maintaining strong internal financial controls.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in Qatar, with knowledge of IFRS.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CIMA are an advantage.
Required skills
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of payroll, WPS, taxation, budgeting, and audit processes.
