Cluster Learning and Development Manager

About the role

The Cluster Learning and Development Manager supports the Al Messila and Sharq Village & Spa property in Doha, Qatar. The role drives company values and philosophy and ensures that all training and development activities are aligned with the organization's mission and vision. It works with the property leadership team to identify employee and organizational development needs and to make sure effective training delivers the desired business results.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments, design and develop training programs and facilitate custom and corporate training, covering product knowledge, company philosophy, customer service and leadership skills.
• Promote training programs to employees, help them identify behaviors that lead to service excellence and provide ongoing training on guest expectations.
• Monitor enrollment and attendance, meet regularly with participants, partner with operational leaders to check technical and leadership skills, and review guest satisfaction data to measure transfer of learning.
• Develop training plans and budgets, align programs with business indicators, incorporate guest satisfaction into departmental meetings and drive brand values through training.
• Manage the training budget and departmental controllable expenses, using a P-card where appropriate.

Required profile

• Either a 2-year degree in Human Resources, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related major with 2 years of HR or related experience, or a 4-year bachelor's degree in a similar field with no experience required.
• Certified trainer.
