Corporate Development & M&A Director – TMT Platform

About the role

A leading GCC‑based diversified conglomerate is building a new TMT platform across Telecom, Cloud and Digital Infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, the Corporate Development & M&A Director will own the end‑to‑end sourcing, structuring and execution of cross‑border acquisitions, joint ventures and greenfield investments in MENA, Central Asia and frontier markets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, propose and originate M&A opportunities that align with the Group’s strategic objectives.
• Lead the full deal cycle from initial thesis, through board approval, to closing.
• Structure and negotiate acquisitions, joint ventures, carve‑outs and infrastructure transactions.
• Prepare and present investment cases to the Board and Investment Committee.
• Maintain a live pipeline of targets in Telecom, Cloud and Digital Infrastructure.
• Conduct cross‑border due diligence, valuation and contract negotiations.
• Manage external advisors including banks, legal counsel and consultants.

Required profile

• 12+ years of M&A experience with a proven track record in Telecom & Technology deals.
• Background on the corporate/operator side and/or in investment banking, private equity or consulting.
• Demonstrated ability to originate, negotiate and close deals independently.
• Experience obtaining Board or Investment Committee approval.
• Cross‑border transaction experience in CIS, MENA, GCC or other emerging markets.
• Strong financial modelling expertise (DCF, LBO, transaction comparables).
• Master’s degree in Finance, Business or equivalent; MBA or CFA is a plus.
• Fluent English; Russian language skills are a strong advantage.
