About the role
Madre Integrated Engineering is hiring a full-time Diesel Mechanic in Doha within its fertilizer business. The mechanic diagnoses and repairs diesel engines used in trucks, buses, construction and agricultural equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and electronic problems in diesel engines.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, fuel systems, braking systems, transmissions and hydraulic systems.
- Use diagnostic computers and software to read fault codes and analyse system performance.
- Disassemble, inspect and rebuild engine components such as cylinders, pistons and crankshafts.
- Carry out routine services such as oil changes, filter replacements and lubrication.
- Test drive vehicles after repairs to verify fixes and spot further issues.
- Weld and fabricate parts as needed for repairs.
- Inspect vehicles according to Department of Transportation (DOT) or company standards.
- Order parts and keep accurate records of all services and repairs.
- Follow workplace safety standards and environmental regulations for waste disposal.
