Director of Rooms

About the role

The Director of Rooms leads the strategic direction of the Rooms department at The Ritz‑Carlton, Doha. This senior position is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and evaluating the quality of the property’s rooms and ensuring alignment with brand standards and guest expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the strategic business leader for the Rooms department, developing and executing departmental strategies.
• Ensure Rooms operations meet brand standards, target customer needs, and drive employee satisfaction.
• Analyze service issues, monitor profitability, and implement operational strategies aligned with the brand’s business goals.
• Monitor revenue performance against budget, manage occupancy, rates, wages and controllable expenses.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, review guest feedback, and take corrective actions to enhance the guest experience.
• Oversee human resources activities including recruitment, performance management, and staff communication.

Required profile

• 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management or related field with 4 years relevant experience, OR a 4‑year bachelor’s degree with 2 years relevant experience.
• Proven experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales & marketing, or management operations within a luxury hotel environment.
