Endocrinology Consultant

About the role

Al Emadi Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Endocrinology Consultant to join its team of healthcare professionals. The consultant will provide specialised care to patients with hormonal imbalances, diabetes, thyroid disorders and other endocrine conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patients with endocrine disorders such as diabetes mellitus, thyroid diseases, adrenal and pituitary disorders and metabolic bone diseases.
• Carry out thorough medical assessments, including physical examinations, medical history reviews and laboratory tests.
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on each patient's needs and history.
• Provide ongoing management and follow-up for chronic conditions, including medication management, lifestyle counselling and patient education.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians, nurses, dietitians and other specialists for integrated care.
• Stay up to date with advances in endocrinology through continuous medical education.
• Take part in hospital committees, quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects as needed.

Required profile

• Medical degree from a recognised faculty of medicine.
• Board certification or equivalent in Endocrinology.
• Valid licence to practice medicine in Qatar is preferred.
• At least 10 years of post-residency experience in Endocrinology.
• Proven record of excellence in patient care, clinical outcomes and academic achievements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and commitment to professional development.
