MSK Physiotherapist

About the role

AZF Aspetar is recruiting an MSK Physiotherapist to provide direct clinical care in its department. The role covers assessment, treatment and management of patients' musculoskeletal conditions, working under the advice of a Senior Physiotherapist.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, analyse and clinically diagnose individual patients to determine their need for physiotherapy intervention, acting independently with the advice of a Senior Physiotherapist.
• Plan, implement, evaluate, treat and progress patient care to maximise rehabilitation potential, and advance treatment progression as needed.
• Independently manage a caseload of patients, examining and treating a range of musculoskeletal conditions at a proficient level.
• Contribute to the development of assessment and treatment protocols and to evidence-based practice, such as protocol reviews.
• Take part in physiotherapy and team in-service training, and in the department's personal development and performance review system.
• Take part in clinical audit to support the service's clinical governance strategy.
• Agree discharge plans with the Senior Physiotherapist and liaise with them for support in managing the caseload.
• Work as part of a team, communicate with colleagues and recommend relevant disciplines to maximise patient care.
• Maintain patient documentation, records and accurate statistics, and uphold ethical and professional behaviour.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in physiotherapy or equivalent; a Master's degree is desired.
• Registered with the home country physiotherapy association.
• Minimum 6-8 years of experience, including 2-3 years in a similar position, preferably in a similar industry.
• Evidence of recent continued professional development in orthopaedic physiotherapy.
• High proficiency in English is mandatory; Arabic is a definite advantage.
