Engineer Technician – Surveying & GIS Specialist

About the role

Perform drafting, surveying and GIS/GeoBase updates in support of the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program at Al Udeid Air Base, providing technical data for facility and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Create and print custom maps using Defense Area Printing Service and store them in Government IDMS.
• Conduct in‑field land surveys with GPS, total stations and differential leveling to update utility and infrastructure data.
• Maintain technical drawings, geospatial data and GIS/GeoBase layers in ESRI ArcGIS Pro and AutoCAD.
• Compile project documentation such as cost estimates, specifications, bills of materials and schedules for Government contracts.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of surveying and drafting experience, with at least one year using current AutoCAD and GIS software.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Valid driver’s license and passport; prior overseas government contracting experience preferred.

Required skills

• AutoCAD 2025 or newer.
• ESRI ArcGIS Pro.
• Trimble GPS equipment and associated download software.
