Engineering Manager – Oil & Gas Projects (Qatar)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams delivering major onshore and offshore oil & gas projects in Qatar. The role oversees engineering delivery from Pre‑FEED through Detailed Design, ensuring safety, schedule, budget and compliance with client and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams across multiple projects.
• Provide technical leadership and engineering governance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on time and meet project requirements.
• Manage engineering budgets, schedules, resources and performance.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning teams.
• Drive risk identification, mitigation and resolution of technical issues.
• Facilitate HAZID, HAZOP, model reviews and design assurance activities.
• Interface with clients, vendors, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
• Support proposal development and technical bid evaluations when required.
• Promote engineering excellence, continuous improvement and a strong safety culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil & gas industry.
• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Project Engineering Manager on Pre‑FEED, FEED, EPC, EPCM or PMC projects.
• Direct Qatar Energy project experience is essential.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary, multicultural engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder management, leadership and communication skills.
