Fertility (IVF) Nurse – Comprehensive Patient Care

About the role

The Fertility (IVF) Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing assisted reproductive treatments. Working closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary fertility team, the nurse ensures safe, compassionate, and culturally sensitive support throughout the IVF journey.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to patients undergoing fertility assessments and IVF procedures.
• Assist fertility specialists during consultations, ultrasounds, egg retrievals, embryo transfers, hysteroscopies, and related procedures.
• Prepare patients before, during, and after IVF‑related interventions and administer prescribed hormonal injections and other fertility medications.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions, document assessments, treatments, and nursing interventions in the EMR.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medication self‑administration, lifestyle recommendations, and follow‑up appointments.
• Coordinate appointments, laboratory requirements, and treatment schedules while providing emotional support.
• Maintain accurate patient records, manage clinical supplies, and collaborate with laboratory staff, embryologists, pharmacists, and physicians.
• Adhere to infection‑prevention policies, hospital safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 3 years in IVF or assisted reproductive technology.
• Demonstrated ability to provide patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
