Fitness Instructor

About the role

Four Seasons Hotel Doha in Qatar is looking for a Fitness Instructor to run private and group fitness sessions for guests and members. The role covers delivering high-quality instruction, covering personal trainer shifts, and mentoring junior instructors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a varied range of fitness and wellness opportunities and deliver private and group fitness instruction that meets and exceeds expectations.
• Handle member and guest interactions with hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests.
• Develop and execute training plans that meet health and fitness goals, and cover personal trainer shifts as scheduled by the Director of Spa.
• Complete fitness instruction billing in line with accounting procedures and fitness department processes.
• Promote personal training and fitness activities, describe training lessons and upsell personal training and wellness classes to internal and external guests.
• Lead group fitness classes such as yoga, Pilates, strength training and HIIT, customizing programs to individual fitness levels and health conditions.
• Work with nutritionists and physiotherapists, and with Public Relations, Spa Receptionists, Concierge and Front of the House teams.
• Mentor, train and periodically test standards of newly certified or junior instructors, and work with the Spa Director on hygiene and equipment safety.
• Keep the gym and movement studio clean, organized and stocked, and adhere to corporate core standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in physical education or a health-related field, or equivalent experience.
• Certifications as a group fitness instructor and personal trainer.
• At least 2 years of experience developing, leading and conducting group and personal fitness and wellness experiences.
• Ability to teach in a luxury environment, work under pressure, prioritize and adapt to changing conditions.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
