Fraud Officer – Qatar (Qatari nationals or children of Qatari)

About the role

The Fraud Officer will support external fraud investigations, manage incident reporting, and help protect the bank from financial loss. This position works closely with regulators, law‑enforcement agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure robust fraud detection and prevention.

Key responsibilities

• Assist external investigations of major fraud incidents and mitigate potential losses.
• Manage and maintain Management Information Systems (MIS) for fraud incidents, regulatory reporting, and law‑enforcement requests.
• Gather, preserve, and examine evidence; interview suspects and produce investigation reports.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and apply investigative best practices in line with local laws and regulations.
• Report fraud incidents to regulators and law‑enforcement authorities, and attend related meetings.
• Develop and review policies, procedures, and proactive monitoring controls.
• Analyze banking products and processes to identify fraud‑risk gaps.
• Collaborate with business units, legal, and other stakeholders to recommend preventive controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Banking, Statistics or a related field.
• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or equivalent professional certification.
• 5‑7 years of banking experience with 2‑4 years in fraud control, investigations or internal audit.
• Native Arabic speaker with fluency in English.
• Strong knowledge of banking products and regulatory requirements.
