Frontend Developer

About the role

The Group Securities, an investment organization in the finance industry licensed by the Qatar Financial Markets Authority, is looking for a Frontend Developer. The role involves architecting and designing robust, modular and reusable front-end components and systems, writing clean, efficient and maintainable code, collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting code reviews and staying current with front-end trends.

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, efficient and maintainable code following industry best practices and coding standards.
• Provide pre-built components and efficient ways to manage the state of an application.
• Work with product managers, designers and back-end engineers to turn project requirements into scalable front-end solutions.
• Implement and maintain testing frameworks and strategies.
• Ensure cross-browser and device compatibility, and test and debug code.
• Share knowledge of the latest front-end trends with the team.
• Troubleshoot complex issues such as performance bottlenecks and cross-browser compatibility.
• Collaborate with the UI/UX team on visually appealing, user-friendly interfaces.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, web development, software engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience with React.js and its ecosystem.

Required skills

• Strong JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5 and CSS3; knowledge of TypeScript.
• React frameworks (Next.js, Remix or Gatsby) and state management (Redux, Context API, Zustand).
• Tailwind CSS, RESTful APIs, Git, Jest, React Testing Library and Vitest.
• Performance optimization and debugging; preferred: Webpack, Vite, WebSocket, Docker, CI/CD, Jira and Confluence.
