FSTD Systems Support Engineer II

About the role

The FSTD Systems Support Engineer II provides technical support for Flight Simulator Training Devices (FSTDs) and related training equipment. You will ensure devices are operational, maintain readiness, and resolve complex technical issues while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site technical support for FSTDs, including maintenance calls, device setup, conversions, demonstrations, flight tests and snag clearance.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks, daily readiness checks, QTG runs, aircraft database updates and IOS lesson‑plan updates.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including AOG events and regulatory findings from National Aviation Authorities.
• Execute hardware refurbishments, modifications and contribute to permanent corrective solutions.
• Use SimHub, SimIssues and the CMMS to record, track and monitor deficiencies and maintenance activities.
• Generate reports for performance monitoring and trend analysis.
• Act as Shift Lead, Team Lead, Device Caretaker or Task Caretaker as assigned.
• Mentor junior colleagues and provide on‑the‑job training.

Required profile

• Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience supporting flight simulation training devices or comparable technical systems.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong customer orientation and professional conduct in sensitive situations.
