Geopolitics Manager – Strategic Advisory

About the role

The Geopolitics Manager will join the Tony Blair Institute’s Geopolitics practice, delivering strategic advisory products to senior government leaders worldwide. You will translate global systemic shifts into concrete policy and strategy recommendations for heads of state, ministers, and other senior officials.

Key responsibilities

• Lead analytical workstreams within client engagements, producing strategic briefs, bilateral partnership strategies, regional strategies, doctrine papers, scenario analyses, and policy assessments for minister‑level audiences.
• Develop client‑ready briefs and strategy documents on great‑power competition, peace diplomacy, economic statecraft, security architecture, and technology governance.
• Support scenario‑exercise design, wargaming, and other forward‑looking analytical tools.
• Contribute to business development efforts, identifying and pursuing new government advisory opportunities.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of international affairs and geopolitics.
• Strong structured problem‑solving and communication skills suitable for senior government audiences.
• Experience across a range of geopolitical issues, including great‑power competition, institutional positioning, peace diplomacy, economic statecraft, security architecture, and technology governance.
• Ability to produce analytical, judgement‑driven, decision‑ready outputs.
