Health, Safety & Environment Manager (Qatar)

About the role

The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager will lead the development, implementation and governance of HSE and worker welfare standards across all Snoonu operations in Qatar. Reporting to the Head of HR, the role ensures full compliance with Qatar Ministry of Labour directives and drives continuous safety improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and enforce HSE governance across Supply and Fleet verticals.
• Act as the primary liaison with the Ministry of Labour and other government authorities.
• Lead regulatory reporting, audits, inspections and formal filings.
• Oversee rider accommodation inspections, sanitation, fire safety and hygiene compliance.
• Investigate incidents, develop CAPA plans and track safety metrics.
• Design and deliver HSE induction and ongoing training programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive HSE leadership experience, preferably in logistics or multi‑site operations.
• Hands‑on experience dealing with Qatar Ministry of Labour standards and audits.
• Fluent Arabic for official communication with local authorities.

Required skills

• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or NEBOSH Diploma.
• IOSH Managing Safely certification (preferred).
• OSHA certification (preferred).
• First Aid & Fire Safety Trainer qualification.
• Road Safety Certification.
