Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor leads the daily operations of housekeeping staff to ensure guest rooms, corridors and public areas meet the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness and safety. You will coordinate schedules, train new team members and act as the main liaison between housekeeping and other hotel departments.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of housekeeping attendants and public‑area cleaners.
• Inspect guest rooms, corridors and public areas for cleanliness and compliance.
• Assign work schedules, room assignments and conduct staff briefings.
• Train new employees on cleaning procedures, safety standards and company policies.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies, linens and guest amenities.
• Report maintenance issues to engineering and follow up on resolutions.
• Document and store lost‑and‑found items properly.
• Handle guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping services.
• Maintain health, hygiene and safety standards throughout the property.
• Prepare attendance records, leave schedules and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate room status updates with the Front Office.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of housekeeping equipment.
• Assist the Housekeeping Manager with reports and audits.

Required profile

• Knowledge of housekeeping operations and cleaning procedures.
• Familiarity with hotel property management systems such as Opera PMS.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Experience in inventory control and stock management.
• Basic computer proficiency.
