Information Technology Project Manager (Consultant)

About the role

The incumbent manages, coordinates and monitors a portfolio of IT projects from initiation to closing, ensuring they are delivered on schedule according to the strategy plan. The position is described as a consultant role.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the assigned portfolio of projects according to the IT project management methodology, against set goals and customer satisfaction.
• Build strong relationships with other departments and units, and manage vendor engagements so contractual obligations are met.
• Coordinate between IT departments and report project progress, problems and risks to management on time.
• Prepare initiation, status and closure reports and other required reports.
• Minimise risk exposure by managing scope and mitigating risk across projects.
• Take part in team and client meetings, handle difficult personnel situations with discretion and in liaison with Human Resources, and provide information to auditors and the Compliance function.
• Protect project information and safeguard commercially sensitive data under the Group's security policy.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree; MBA or Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of experience managing IT projects in banking and financial services.
• Certification in Project Management (PMI); training and certification in systems technology, management and banking is a plus.
