About the role

The Instrument Technician will install, inspect, calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot industrial instrumentation and control systems for Qatar Steel.

Key responsibilities

Install, inspect, calibrate and maintain pressure, temperature, flow, level and other process instruments.
Read and interpret P&ID drawings, instrument loop diagrams, wiring diagrams and technical specifications.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including calibration using standard equipment.
Troubleshoot transmitters, control valves, sensors, switches, gauges and instrument control loops.
Assist in commissioning, testing and loop checking of new instruments and control systems.

Required profile

Minimum 3 years of experience in instrumentation and industrial automation.
Relevant education or technical training in industrial engineering or related field.

Required skills

Instrumentation installation, calibration and maintenance.
P&ID and wiring diagram interpretation.
Knowledge of pneumatic and electronic control systems.
Troubleshooting of transmitters, control valves, sensors and gauges.
