Managing Director, Investments & Portfolio Management

About the role

We are seeking an accomplished investment executive to lead our investment strategy, portfolio oversight, capital deployment, transaction execution and value creation across multiple sectors and asset classes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee investment strategy, portfolio priorities and capital‑allocation frameworks.
• Source, assess, structure and execute investment opportunities, leading due diligence, valuation, financial modelling and transaction structuring.
• Prepare and present investment recommendations, risks and strategic options to executive and governance forums.
• Monitor portfolio performance and drive value‑creation, optimisation and risk‑management initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with banks, institutional investors, private‑equity firms, sovereign investors and strategic partners.
• Ensure disciplined investment governance, documentation, monitoring and reporting.
• Recruit, develop and lead a high‑performing team of investment professionals.

Required profile

• Current or former Managing Director, Executive Director, Partner, Head of Investments, Chief Investment Officer or comparable senior investment leader.
• Background in investment banking, private equity, principal investments, infrastructure, sovereign investing or institutional asset management.
• Typically 18+ years of relevant investment experience with a proven record of originating, evaluating, executing and monitoring significant transactions or portfolios.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Professional qualifications such as CFA or CAIA are advantageous.
