Mechanical Technician

About the role

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) is seeking a Mechanical Technician to perform maintenance and troubleshooting in continuous‑operation plants within the oil, gas, petrochemical and fertilizer sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting on pumps, blowers, valves, vessels, columns, exchangers, pipes and other static equipment.
• Install, remove and re‑fit pumps and blowers, and carry out rotating equipment maintenance.
• Inspect work quality, apply corrective actions, and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
• Interpret isometric drawings, mechanical drawings and datasheets to guide maintenance activities.
• Clean, preserve and maintain removed equipment parts while working at height with appropriate safety gear.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma in a relevant trade (12+3 years).
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical maintenance within the oil & gas, petrochemical or fertilizer industry.
• Demonstrated good HSEQ record.
