MEP Quantity Surveyor – Part-Time Project Engagement

About the role

An experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor is sought to support the commercial management of an ongoing project in Doha. The engagement is part-time and project-based, with fees agreed against a defined scope and deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Review the subcontract, BOQ, specifications and drawings.
• Prepare interim payment applications and supporting documents.
• Identify and evaluate variations, additions and omissions.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, rate analyses and substantiated variation submissions.
• Support contractual claims and prepare commercial correspondence.
• Attend commercial meetings and follow up on submissions with the main contractor and consultant.
• Assist with final account preparation and negotiation.

Required profile

• Proven post-contract MEP quantity surveying experience, preferably with an MEP contractor in Qatar.
• Demonstrated experience in variations, payment applications and claims.
• Availability for site visits and meetings in Doha.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and ELV systems.
• Strong written English.
• Proficiency in Excel and drawing measurement tools.
