Network Security Administrator

About the role

The Network Security Administrator will safeguard Jacobs' network infrastructure in Doha by implementing robust security measures, monitoring threats, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and government regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures.
• Administer, configure, and maintain firewalls.
• Manage, monitor, and update malware prevention systems.
• Track security advisories and apply necessary patches and updates.
• Detect, prevent, and respond to intrusions.
• Conduct intrusion detection analysis.
• Manage web proxy appliances.
• Create and modify custom SNORT rules for IDS.

Required profile

• Eight years of progressive experience in network security or related fields.
• DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II certification required.
• CompTIA SCA+ or equivalent certification.
• Security+, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, or RHCSA to be obtained within six months of start.
